1. Name of the course: Introduction of Certificate Courses in Music from 2008 - Application Form
The Statutory Academic Bodies of the University have accorded approval to start the Certificate Courses in Music viz. Vocal (Hindustani) and Percussion (Tabla), as per prevailing regulations of the University, w.e.f. the academic year 2008.
The details of the said Courses are as under:

2. Preamble :
Music is an integral part of rich Indian heritage and has come a long way since Vedic times with a strong cultural and ancient history. It is perhaps the greatest force that unites humanity the world over.
In today’s world which is full of conflicts and tensions, it is the music which is playing a significant role towards inner peace and harmony, transgressing man made frontiers and carrying the message of peace and brotherhood.
Music is also known to be a great healer and has direct and indirect influence on physical and mental health of an individual. Of late music therapy is being used as an adjunct to medical line of therapy.
All different forms of Indian classical music (Ragas) are believed to affect various “Chakras” (Energy centres) in the path of the Kundalini.
In the modern corporate world the significance of music in relieving stress and fatigue, besides making value addition to one’s personality development cannot be overemphasized.
3. Duration : One Year
4. Eligibility : Any Graduation from recognized University
The prescribed qualification is relaxed for the students
admitted to various Health Science Courses like MBBS,
BDS, BPT, BAMS, B.Sc. (Nursing), etc. in KLE Institutions.
5. Total intake : 30 students in each course p.a.
